Conditions to expunge my old criminal record

• My criminal record is older than ten years.
• I have not been convicted of any offence and sentenced to a period of imprisonment without the option of a fine during those 10 years.
• My fine was not more than R20 000

Person will not qualify if:

• He or she convicted of a sexual offence against a child.
• His or her name is included in the National Register for Sex
Offenders.

Procedures of removing your record:

1. You need to send/courier the following documents to our office
or contact a NeVeTeC Agent in your region.

* A set of your fingerprints to be taken from your local police station or embassy.
(Note: Two sets are required if you need Clearance after expungement of record)
* Copy of your I.D. Document- (no need to be certified)
* Document1, Document2 and Document 3- Signed & Completed(Downloaded from this Website)

2.Turnaround time for an expungement is currently taking +- 20 weeks to complete.
